LG’s 5-inch, 4: 3, Android-based Optimus Vu

The Galaxy Note competitior: LG unveiled one of the most anticipated LTE devices, the Optimus Vu. Equipped with LG’s LTE and IPS display technology, the Optimus Vu is touted to offer a combination of tablet-like viewing with smartphone portability. 

The large 5-inch IPS display (1024×768) with 4:3 aspect ratio is said to make viewing documents, books, internet and multimedia contents easier and more comfortable
The device is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 32GB internal memory and a 2,080 mAh battery.
The Optimus Vu comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with AF LED Flash and a 1.3 megapixel front camera.
The device runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, while an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is said to be already in the works.
Its built-in QuickClip hotkey allows users to conveniently capture screenshots and memos with a single push.
At only 8.5mm, the Optimus Vu is said to be the slimmest among all LTE phones currently on the market.
The Optimus Vu will be introduced in Korea in March.
The company unveiled the device ahead of Mobile World Congress(MWC) 2012.
